On the Campus home page, you can:

  • Self-register to be able to log in to the campus (if your institution authorises it).
  • Log in to your personal home page with your personal course list.
  • View the list of open access courses. To view restricted access courses, you must be logged in to the campus.
  • Request your username and password if you forgot them.
  • You can search a course on the platform with the search option.

Log in to Claroline

Each user (student, teacher and administrator) may have a profile on Claroline. Each profile is linked to a username (also called login) and a password.

'Log in' means filling in the login form on the campus home page to be authenticated as the owner of a profile.

  • Fill in the Username and Password fields in the form.
  • Click on the Enter button.

Login successful

  • You are presented your personal course list (your Claroline home page).

Login failed

  • Either you are not registered : you can use the registration form.
  • Or you misspelled your username and/or your password : Claroline is case-sensitive so pay attention to distinguish UPPERCASE (capital) and lowercase (small) letters. In case you are not sure, use the Lost Password link to get your username and password sent to your e-mail address.

Log out

You should log out at the end of each Claroline session :

  • To log out, click on the Logout option in the top banner.
  • Logging out takes you back to your campus home page.

Registration

Some institutions allow self-registration. Others do not and should give you your username and password.

If self-registration is allowed :

  • Agree or disagree the conditions of the registration (new in Claroline 1.7, this option can be set and the text can be modify in the campus administration).
  • Click on Create user account in the top-right side of the home page.
  • Students : fill in the registration form and select Follow courses as an Action (this option may be de-activated on your campus). Click OK.
  • Teachers : fill in the registration form and select Create course as an Action (this option may be de-activated on your campus). Click OK.
  • After the confirmation page, you are taken to your personal home page (My course list) which is still empty.

Every time you come back to your campus, you will have to enter your username and password. These have been sent to you by e-mail if you typed a valid e-mail address at registration.

Lost password

Step 1 - Click on Lost password on the campus home page.

Step 2 - Enter your e-mail address in the form field.

Step 3 - Wait for a moment, then consult your mail account. You should have received an e-mail with your login and password.
