Modify the users profiles

The course manager can change or adapt the users rights.

There are several default profiles on the platform :

  • Anonymous : course visitor who has no account on the platform.
  • Guest : course visitor who has an account on the platform but is not enrolled to the course.
  • User : course member who is enrolled in the course.
  • Manager : course administrator. The manager's rights are locked by default.

Other profiles can be created according to your needs from the Administration page.


You can give specific rights to each profile for using the tools :

  • Image:Block.gif : no access
  • Image:User.gif : access allowed
  • Image:Manager.gif : edition allowed

To modify the profiles rights, you have to be the course manager.

  • Go to the course home page
  • Click on Edit Tool list.
  • Click on the rights icon in front of the desired tool and under the profile you wish to modify.
  • Click several times on the icon until you get to the desired right.
