The search user option

To search a user in the list of users :

  • Go under Users in the Admin page.
  • Insert a sequence of letters of last name, first name or e-mail.
  • Click on Search.
  • You can see the table of results of your search.
 Tips
* Leave the search field empty if you want to see ALL users.
* Click on Advanced if you want to specify which information you want to filter.

Create a new user

To create an new user:

  • Click on Create user on the User list page.
  • Fill all fields.
  • Choose Follow course for student or Create course for teacher.
  • Click on Ok.

The new user has been sucessfully created, click on :

  • Register this user to a course.
  • Go to User settings.
  • Create another new user.
  • Back to admin page.
Note : New users will receive an e-mail with their Username and Password.

In the administration tool, access to the list of users and find the user you want :

  • Click on the User settings icon (Image:Usersettings.gif) on the line of the user concerned.
  • Modify the information you want.
  • You can also register the user to a new course, send him information about his profile ou unenrol him from a course.
  • Click on Ok to save the changes.
Note : to give administrator rights to a user --> set Is platform admin to Yes for the user.

Delete an existing user

In the Administration tool, access to the User list and find the user you want :

  • Click on the Delete icon (Image:Unenrol.gif) on the line of the user concerned.
  • Confirm your action by clicking on Ok.

Manage classes

The administration tool Classes facilitates the administrative work. It enables the platform administrator to enrol at once a list of users (that are already registered on the platform) to a course. For example the administrator can register all the students of the 1st Bachelier to a course in a few clics.

This Classes tool is different from the Group tool, because the groups can only be used inside a course space, not across the whole platform.

To create a class:

  • Click on Create a new class
  • Give a name to the class and validate.
  • Click on the User icon.
  • You can register one/several user(s) to your class manually, register the class to a course, add a user list to the class (CSV format), or unregister all the users from the class.

Allow/disable self-registration

Only Administrators can modify this setting :

  • Go to Platform Administration
  • Click on Configuration under Platform, and then on Main settings.
  • Click on Right.
  • Check the Yes / No boxes for Allow enrolment/unenrolment to courses by the users.
  • Click Ok to save your changes.

Allow/disable professor registration

Only Administrator can modify this setting :

  • Go to Platform Administration.
  • Click on Configuration under Platform.
  • Click on User profile options under User.
  • Go to User request.
  • Check the boxes Allowed or Denied for Creation of Course Creator account.
  • Click Ok to validate your changes.

Import a list of users

To import a list of users in a course :

  • Select the course.
  • Click on the tool Users.
  • Click on Add a user list.
  • Fill all fields. (You must specify the format of you CSV file.)
  • To find you file, click on Parcourir....
  • Click on Add user list.
