Administering the platform courses

The search course option
- On the Administration page, insert some letters from the code or course title.
- Click on Search.
- The corresponding courses will appear, and you will see in bold the sequence of letters that you researched.
Tips : let input box empty and click on Seach if you want to see ALL courses.
- Click on Advanced if you want to specify which information you want to filter.
- You will access to a list of the courses matching your criteria :

View the results of search
1 Click on column titles if you want to sort the results by Code, Course title or Category.
2 Click on the title of a course to see it as teacher.
Tips : it's very interesting if you want to help a teacher without being registrated in the course.
3 To see Course members.
4 To edit Course settings.
5 To delete the course.

Create a new course
- In the Platform Administration, click on Create course.
- Fill all fields.
- Click Ok to create a new course.
Tip: You can allow the users to register themselves by adding an enrolment key. It will be asked to the users when they register to a course space. This key can be usefull to avoid having undesirable users in your course.

Modify the course properties
For the platform administrator, there are two different ways to access to the settings of a course :
- Enter in the course, then click on Course settings under the tools list.
- Use the Administration tool available on the home page right menu when you are logged in.

Delete an existing course
To delete an existing course, see above View the result of search, number 5.

Manage course categories
On Administration page, click on Manage course categories.
In this tool, you can :
1) Add a new category by clicking on Create a new category.
2) Edit settings (rename, change code, include courses or not)
